Ace at Crystal Lake Country Club

The Crystal Lake Chamber Golf Outing brought golfers together for a great day on the course while supporting the Crystal Lake Chamber Golf Outing and its mission to strengthen the local business community. The outing supports business networking, educational programs, community events, local business advocacy, and economic development initiatives throughout the area.

The event was proudly sponsored by BMW of Crystal Lake, a dealership that is actively involved in supporting local organizations, charitable events, and community initiatives. To add even more excitement to the outing, BMW of Crystal Lake offered an impressive $30,000 toward the purchase of a vehicle for anyone lucky enough to make a hole in one on the designated hole.

One of the highlights of the day came on the 211-yard ninth hole when Jack recorded an incredible hole in one. Using a 4 hybrid, Jack hit a shot that started with a slight left to right cut before landing on the green, taking a bounce, and rolling directly into the cup.

"It was just the one that went in," Jack said when recalling the shot.

Playing in a scramble alongside his father, Bob, Jack watched as his dad hit first before stepping up to the tee. Once Jack's ball disappeared into the hole, there was no need for anyone else in the group to hit another shot.

Witnesses described the ace from different vantage points around the tee box, all agreeing on the memorable finish as the ball landed on the green and found its way into the cup.
