Blind Pin, Big Win: A Shot to Remember

What appeared as a challenging shot became an unforgettable moment for Robert Gumino at the St. Demetri Golf Outing on June 20, 2026.

Standing on the tee box at Hole #2, Robert faced a daunting 172-yard approach to a blind pin. With the flag completely out of sight, he selected his 7-iron, settled into his stance, and took a confident swing.

The shot was spectacular. Robert struck a high draw that started just right of the target before gently working its way left toward the green. The ball landed softly on the putting surface and rolled directly toward the hidden hole.

Then, it disappeared. Hole in one! The incredible shot was even more meaningful because Hole #2 was the tournament’s main prize hole. Robert’s perfect swing not only earned him a memorable ace but also secured an outstanding prize courtesy of Klaben Ford Lincoln of Warren: a two-year lease on a Ford Bronco!
