From the 17th Tee to the Winner's Circle: Erick F. Aces It

A warm August day at Timberwood Golf Club in Ray, Michigan, became even more memorable when Erick F. aced the 165-yard 17th hole during the RJA Annual Memorial Foundation Golf Outing.

The annual outing honors the legacy of Robert J. Aul II, an Air Force veteran who had a passion for golf, while raising funds for student scholarships, educational grants, and programs that support first responders throughout Southeast Michigan.

The event featured a hole in one contest sponsored by Suburban Ford of Waterford, offering golfers the chance to win a 2-year lease of a Ford F-150.

When Erick stepped onto the 17th tee for his one opportunity, he selected his 7 iron.

"I hit it straight at the hole," Erick recalled. "It bounced once on the green and went in."

His playing partners watched the shot soar toward the flag. At first, they believed another golfer's ball had finished closest to the pin, but as they reached the green, they realized Erick's ball had disappeared into the cup.

Witnesses confirmed the shot flew directly toward the hole, landed on the green, took a single bounce, and dropped into the cup, making it a memorable moment for everyone at the event.

Congratulations to Erick on an incredible hole in one and to Suburban Ford of Waterford for sponsoring such an exciting grand prize.

Following Erick's winning shot, Blanca of Auto Dealers Hole in One presented the ceremonial winner's check to Brian Litz, General Manager of Suburban Ford of Waterford, recognizing Erick's achievement and the dealership's sponsorship of the 2-year Ford F-150 lease.

It was a great way to celebrate both an unforgettable hole in one and a tournament dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.
